Symposium - Team Building and Leadership

Creating a Culture of Accountability: Because culture doesn't read the employee handbook……

Culture might best be explained as the set of organizational habits that currently exist throughout your business... and habits are hard to change. Culture makes far more decisions in a business than any leader, manager, or handbook ever will; and we often fall victim to the culture around us instead of defining and creating the culture our business needs.

Effective leaders know that building a culture that drives success is far more sustainable than working daily to herd people in the right direction.

Outcomes:

➢Explore the impact of culture on your business and the leaders role in defining, creating, and supporting it

➢Assess what cultural habits exist in your organization and how they are helping or hindering your ability to succeed

➢Learn how to leverage various components to shift the culture on your team such as aligning leader behaviors, supporting early adopters, creating moments of choice, and integrating new team members.

➢Develop the capability to sustain a fully accountable culture and to build strong teams that solve problems, take initiative, and create a competitive advantage for the business

Leading Change: Because standing still is dangerous...

Organizations that thrive must continually adapt to shifting circumstances in the marketplace to meet changing customer needs. Growth is only possible in the presence of change; however, most businesses are not built for change, they are built to deliver their product or service. And yet it is the business’s ability to change that will ultimately determine its long-term success and its speed of growth. Change can happen quickly and effectively when we plan for it, align the forces to drive it, and choose to lead it.

Outcomes:

➢Learn about the 4 components of behavior change and how to leverage them throughout your business

➢ Recognize and remove the roadblocks that stop change, and prepare your team or business for change that is faster, more sustainable, and executed with less resistance

➢ Learn the 8 Vectors of Change and design action steps for your business or team to drive consistent, successful changes

➢ Understand the role of leaders during change and how to contribute to the speed of change rather than impede its progress

➢ Learn about the common missteps that happen during organizational change and how to avoid them
